This is a historical Ranch, originally known as "The Condor's Nest" and it is a place like no other. It is located in Pala, CA, (North San Diego County), up top a long winding road -approx. 3 1/2 miles off of highway 76. We are elevated approx. 1,800 feet above sea level, so the ocean breezes make it cooler than nearby Temecula and surrounding areas. It is private and secluded. You will drive up the long palm lined and stone wall driveway to see the horses, llamas, peacocks, pigs, goats, a sheep, a mini donkey, the barn, the horse arena, the gorgeous grounds, (we've got 20 acres), the tractors, the fire truck, the chicken house, the vintage slaughter house/now dog house, and a giant adobe house, built by the famous Weir Brothers, designed by a Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice that is in the shape of a cross.

This all Glass and Adobe brick home, 6,000 square feet, is furnished in cowboy and Indian ranch style. We are located in Pala, California. Pala is a small unincorporated area in North San Diego County and is close to Fallbrook and Temecula. Our ranch offers all the amenities of home, but in a sprawling, private and peaceful 20 acre "Rustic Elegance" ranch/estate setting. There are 5 bedrooms in the main house (allowing sleeping for 10 in beds), also in addition, there is a cottage which allows sleeping for 5 and includes a kitchen and two bathrooms. Come for the weekend or stay for a few weeks --it's a great family getaway and you feel like you are in another world. For those who would like to have their Wedding Ceremony and Reception here we have all the "fixin's" for that as well. We have plenty of space, gorgeous views, and the whole place is yours! We've got chairs, tables, linens, even heirloom silver flatware and china (of course all mismatched) and a bar and dancefloor. In addition a beautiful extra large pool (35,000 gallons) with lush trees all around and on a clear day the ocean is visible ... you will see a sparkle off across the horizon. Or you could have a Barn Wedding! So many beautiful spots to make your day unique. The beauty of it is you don't have to rush out because the next Wedding is on their way in! We make it all about you and book ONLY 1 Wedding or Event per weekend!!!! It's about making it special for you and spending time with your family! That's what makes us (and YOU) happy! You may even want it all week and that's ok too!!! This is what memories are made of!

A gorgeous commercial kitchen is perfect for large feasts and gatherings. We have a list of caterers as well for those who want to worry about nothing and give their guests and themselves a unique experience. All of our personal guests never want to leave and we think you won't want to either!

Here, you'll get the best of everything. Each of our rooms is professionally decorated with comfort in mind. Sink into a lush, tempurpedic mattress and let your cares float away.

A variety of room sizes and features are available including king or queen-size beds, bathrooms, private entrances and patios for each room, connecting rooms, even a separate guest house is available. It is all one level, except for the step down living room pit. It is easily accessible for those that have a hard time getting around and there are shower bars in each shower - that way all of the relatives can come - even from far away or those with disabilities.

You can take nice walks, feed the horses carrots, the pigs will eat any kind of scraps you've got, collect fresh eggs every day, go swimming, play croquet or touch football, there is a ton of outdoors to do whatever it is you fancy... and off the property there are several Indian casino's - some 5 minutes away, some 15 minutes away; you can go wine tasting in nearby Temecula, visit old town Temecula, go Antique shopping, hot air ballooning, go golfing at one of the many nearby courses, take a day trip to go to the Del Mar racetrack, Wild Animal parks, go to nearby Julian for their famous pies, go to the Palomar Observatory, along with all the many things to do in San Diego in general... the list is endless. The ranch would be the perfect place to have your wedding, reception, renew your vows, have a birthday party, outdoor BBQ, family reunion or just to get away with your buddies, girlfriends, church group, couples retreat, any club, work retreat, or your family and friends for something different... and an incredible experience. For your guests without a bed reserved at the ranch, they can stay at the Pala Casino, which is just a few miles away! It's a very beautiful and upscale casino. It also has the largest (and yummiest) buffet in all of Southern California.

GENERAL RATES /Single Family Rental:

Ranch Home rental featuring entire Glass and Adobe single level home (5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in 6,000 square feet) and use of pool, grounds, is $1,000 per night for groups of up to 15. $50 per person per night over 15 people is charged for overnight guests. Cleaning fee is $150 per visit, $500 for weddings plus a site fee or package fee. We have a two night minimum.

A separate Guest House (shown below!, courtesy of Apertura Photo) which allows sleeping for 5, two full size beds and one twin bed, two bathrooms, small kitchen, private bedroom and living area is available for rent for $350 per night.

**All stays require a $2,500 fully refundable security deposit, due at time of booking -and cashed, which is returned after your departure, upon inspection of the house for damages. (Note: weddings and large groups require a $5,000 security deposit and a $500 cleaning fee) All charges can be paid by cash, personal check, money order, cashiers check.
